In today’s knowledge economy we’re paid to think, and we need to find ways to be more strategic about it. Science is discovering more and more each day about how the brain functions.  Even though researchers will agree that they’ve made important discoveries over the past fifteen years, much about the brain still remains a mystery.  What we do know is very interesting because it gives us a peak into the connection between our wiring and our performance.  This awareness gives us clues about how to become better leaders for our teams, our organizations and ourselves.

What part of this new information is most relevant to the workplace?  And, how can we practically apply these new discoveries to impact talent engagement and the bottom line?  To answer these questions and more, we’ll explore the neuroscience behind change and how brain-friendly concepts are currently being applied in several organizations.  We’ll talk about how its changed organizational cultures, helped to align teams, fostered individual growth and become part of these organizations’ best practices.

Participants will:

1.  Explore the behavioral neuroscience behind change;

2.  Examine the relationship between thoughts, actions and perceptions of others;

3.  Learn how brain-friendly practices can be applied in the workplace;

4.  Practice these methods with a case study; and,

5.  Leave with 3 takeaways to apply at work.
