“Grit.” How can I get it?
Grit,” defined as passion and perseverance in pursuit of long-term goals, is now recognized as one of the key determinants of success and life satisfaction. But how do we develop it in a world of instant gratification?
Caroline Adams Miller will facilitate a provocative session about how the self-esteem movement has protected us from failure, when failure is often what we need to experience in order to learn how to be resilient. The session will help us to understand how to challenge the people we lead as well as ourselves to tackle the hard things that build grit to radically improve success and happiness.
I know nobody who’s thought more about how to apply the scientific research on grit and achievement to our own lives!
